Mother

So the 2nd part of this actually ended up taking MUCH less time than the 1st part, so I managed to finish it early.

A mother and her new hatchling. Hatchlings of this species darken in color as they mature, their round spots elongate and get more irregular and their horns grow small "bumps".

It was supposed to be just a quick project, I swear I should know better than to use that phrase by now. Apparently there is no such thing as quick for me.

I sketched it in Photoshop, wanting to seem cool like that...
I am not doing that again. It took too long, and was too damn difficult for something so simple. I just don't think I'm proficient enough with my wacom yet to sketch well digitally. Funnily enough I realized this is actually only like my fourth or fifth finished piece in Photoshop. I've had my wacom around for a while but didn't get to do any art on it, creating the illusion that I'm not a total newbie at this....

Anyways this came out sorta weird.

As for the background, please do me the huge favor of realizing that I have no idea what I'm doing....
