Painting practice
Yet another attempt at painting practice. I almost wasn't going to put it up but id really like some feedback on what I can do better.
So me and a friend have founded a group for digital tutorials and critiques.
I'm SUPER exited. Hoping to gather some members if anyone wants to join?

Sooooo, decided to actually put something up here, 5 years after creating this account. Hopefully this will encourage me to finish my work.
Not much to say about me. I'm Russian by nationality, I like sugar, and drawing, obviously.

I'm a little bit obsessed with dragons, just a little, you probably didn't even notice.

I like criticism. Like a lot. As long as its constructive and not hateful. If you have an opinion about something in my artwork please share it, I don't mind, in fact I will be happy as a pig in mud. I take peoples opinions very seriously and will always objectively consider any critiques on my art.

HIya, I was wondering if you could recommend a tablet (under $130) I could possibly get. Thx :D

Sure thing. Recommending tablets, I'd say right away, definitely go for a wacom. Its the most recognized tablet name in the industry, its trusted, high quality and works great. I have an intuos 4 L that cost me some $400. I've had it for years and I'm still super happy with it. There's a bit of a misconception i think that they are very expensive, wacom actually has a line of tablets called bamboo that are cheaper, but they seem to have come out they come out with a new line of intuous that is for artist and much more affordable too.

So I'd say go for the new intuous pen. I'ts actually very cheap. The small version is great for starting out and only runs $80, well withing your limit.…
For $20 more you can get the pen and touch though, that takes touch screen commands, if you like that sort of thing. It also comes in medium which is $200.…

There's also intuos manga which is $100, but honestly I couldn't find the difference between the two other than software, so I say skip this one.

You can try and buy it locally, but honestly I had some trouble finding them in stores when I went shopping for mine. But wacom ships free on orders over $50, so go ahead and order it direct from them if you can.

I hope that helps, cant wait to see what you do with it.

Ok thank you so much. I was looking at Wacom's previously but I never had any opinions on them from anybody so this really helps a lot, thankyou :D

Hi Sasha sorry I haven't written to you in awhile. I continue drawing. Doing a lot of perspective drawings also practice life drawing for character design. I already have a story. Just need to draw my characters. How are things with you?

Yes of course I will. I tried downloading blender it did not work. Did you buy it. I have sketchUp software which is the simplified software to do nothing and then you can Import the drawings that are done in SketchUp into any software.  There is also teaching you all the digital softwares. It's very useful.

Haven't used maya in while but I did complete a project from the book doing the solar system. Although my orbits of the planets is too fast I am trying to figure out how to slow it down. I will take maya class to help myself out. I have both maya and 3d max books 2013. Both close to fifty bucks.

Do you have iPad? Just asking. Mine is the first one but needs some serious updating and fixing.

Oh I am also doing a model of a spaceship out of wire and then be using food and glue. It's in process and I am taking Japanese language once a week it will be level 3. 1st and 2nd I passed.

What king of stuff you do in blender. Oh I also wanted to ask you if you finished that dragon you were working on in photoshop putting color on it.

I guess I should say goodnight for now it's quite late, but TTYL for sure.

Say hi to you mother for me. goodnight!
